I like how this soap doesn't strip my skin or give me that dry itchy feeling afterwards. I have pretty sensitive skin so that's always a plus!

Maddy R.

The price was very good and I'm already on 3 weeks and still going with the bar!

My kids and I all use Alpine Ridge's soaps! We've been using them since they set up at their first market!

Made With Purpose

We use purpose-driven ingredients chosen for how they perform on skin. Each component plays a role in creating a balanced, effective clean you can feel.

Refinement & Texture

Clays, botanicals, and minerals fine-tune how the soap cleans - from how it feels in the hands to how it rinses off the skin.

Scent & Finish

Essential oils and extracts shape the final experience - subtle, natural, and grounded - without relying on artificial fragrance.

The Foundation

Real fats and oils form the backbone of traditional soap. They determine the hardness, lather quality, and how the bar performs from first use to last.

Thoughtfully Sourced

We prioritize ingredients that are responsibly sourced and chosen for consistency, quality, and performance. From sustainable plant oils to carefully selected botanicals, sourcing decisions are made to support both the formula and the long-term integrity of what we make.

24+

Months of Development

From early formulation and ingredient sourcing to testing, branding, and building a system we could stand behind, every part of Alpine Ridge was developed intentionally before we ever sold a single bar.

12+

Months of Formulation

Before our first tallow bars were ever made to sell. We spent over a year testing formulas through real-world use. Bars were shared with people dealing with sensitive, reactive skin - including those who experience eczema - and feedback was gathered over weeks of use. When results fell short, formulas were adjusted until they met our standards for comfort, feel, and performance.

Our Mission

Alpine Ridge Soap Company was created out of a desire to slow down and make soap the right way. After years of testing and refinement, we focus on traditional methods, real ingredients, and small-batch production - crafting bars that perform well, feel good on skin, and hold up to daily use.

Soap Made Just For You

The beginning

We knew we weren't going to allow our kids to consume the same junk that we once did, and 2017 was the tipping point for us, and many others.

People were just starting to read ingredient labels, "no parabens/sulfates/phthalates" became buzzwords, "clean beauty was emerging, but big brands still dominated the shopping isles. 2017 was the foundation year.

We wanted to go ALL organic but didn't know how fake "natural" branding was.

The awakening

COVID changed everything for society. Health obsession skyrocketed, immunity dominated the searches, small businesses started to boom.

At this point we were still scratching at the surface trying to find the best alternative products for our family. It was almost looking like we needed to make it ourselves...

The backlash year

We watched "greenwashing" get exposed. "Fragrance loophole" goes viral, lawsuits over fake "natural" claims, influencers calling out fake "natural" claims.

It seemed that even the brands we trusted were hiding something. It was apparent that people only really cared about profit.

The ancestral wave

The return to traditional fats and oils. Beef tallow surges, goat milk explodes, castor and black seed oil was the trend, the carnivore/animal-based lifestyle picks up.

This was a good year for health, and small health conscious businesses were on top.

Unfortunately they all came out of the wood work with almost no preparation and their ingredients were still questionable as they didn't allow the time needed to develop a good product.

Nevertheless, we supported them because they were on our side. But we felt we too had something to offer...

The first batch

At this point endocrine disruptors become common knowledge. "Hormone-safe" becomes a category, phthalates/PFAS trend on TikTok, sunscreen controversy explodes, and parents are the ones driving the clean movement harder than ever.

That included us. We made our first ever batch of fully organic body wash. It was actually terrible haha... but that didn't deter us. We were motivated to make skincare products for our little family.

Product expansion

After a months of trying to make the right body wash and testing out soaps, we kept stumbling across other issues. My son was having chapped bleeding lip issues and the lip balms we had just made it worse. So we made our own, and it worked way better. My daughter ended up with athletes foot, so I made my own cream and couldn't believe that worked too.

At this point I felt like these huge companies were just gatekeeping the truth. You don't need ingredients made in labs for a lot of things, and I had proved that with my two little experiments.

Friends and family reached out wanting to try what we had. So we started making test batches for everyone.

Our first market

We spent a good year making test batches of our products over and over again. We created hundreds of scents and ended up with a dozen products.

We did our first market in August. It was great! We met a lot of people got to understand the market better. We knew what people liked and disliked. This help us evolve.

We did one month at a market as a test run then went back to work on our products to improve them even more.

Adjusted focus

By the end of 2025, we decided to scale back and focus on soap so we could stay intentional without spreading ourselves thin. We fell in love with the soaps we were making and knew this was the product we wanted to lead with. At the time, we had built a strong lineup of coconut soaps - over 20 scents that people genuinely loved.

We launched our social media, built a website, and began getting our soap into people’s hands, often giving out free bars in exchange for honest feedback. Orders started coming in, customers returned for more, and reviews followed. While we still had other products in development, we knew there was more work to do before everything was truly ready.

Rebranding & paving the path

In 2026, we made our biggest decision yet: to slow down and focus on doing fewer things better. We stepped away from a wide range of products and scents and narrowed our attention to what mattered most to us - soap. By refining our offerings to a small set of staple scents, we were able to put more time, care, and intention into every bar instead of spreading ourselves thin.

This shift led to our rebrand from Bears&Bees to Alpine Ridge Soap Company, a name that reflects our direction and values. Today, our focus is simple: crafting exceptional coconut, tallow, and natural soaps through thoughtful ingredients, refined formulas, and intentional design.

Getting here took time, patience, and investment - and this is just the beginning.
